YW attended the Wine Tour that took place May 18th, presented by Historic Savannah Foundation. The tour was held in private homes situated on and near Madison Square. The chosen properties had previously received preservation awards from HSF. The tour was a real treat for those of us who love learning the history and witnessing first hand the fine details of the architecture of each historic Savannah home that was featured.
This evening HSF is celebrating the success of 2012 Preservation Festival: Preserving a Sense of Place with live music, hors d’ oeuvres, wine, an exotic plant auction and container gardens by the area’s finest floral designers in the Isaiah Davenport Garden. The results of their month long art and destination auctions will be revealed. Also, the winning entries for Pennies for Preservation Poster Contest will be on display.
